Service details
Accurately diagnosing the source is essential before any work begins. Rising damp moves upward through masonry via capillary action, while lateral damp penetrates horizontally through walls from adjacent higher ground or exterior moisture.
When the exterior face of a retaining wall or foundation is inaccessible, negative-side waterproofing is applied from the interior to prevent water penetration through the masonry.
For rising damp, liquid DPC injection is introduced into the wall to form a barrier against moisture migration. Because dampness carries salts, contaminated plaster may require removal and replastering.
